Download Instagram Reels Without a Watermark
Instagram's own in-app "Save video" button stamps a username watermark onto the file as part of its export process — that part's real, not a myth. How to download a Reel
- Open the Reel in the Instagram app or on instagram.com and tap the three dots (•••) → Copy Link.
- Paste that link into the box on the InstaDownloadPro homepage.
- Click Download — you'll get a preview and a direct download button for the video file.
- Save it. Nothing is re-encoded or compressed on our end, so no extra watermark or logo gets added in the process.

Why does Instagram's own download button add a watermark, but this doesn't?
Instagram's built-in "Save video" option embeds a username watermark as part of its own export step. We don't go through that feature at all — we pull the underlying video file directly, the same one your feed plays, before that watermarking layer ever runs. Nothing is re-encoded on our end either, so there's nothing for us to add.
Can it remove a watermark that's already in the video?
No — if a Reel is a repost of content from elsewhere (TikTok content re-uploaded to Reels is the common case) and that watermark is baked into the actual video pixels, we can't edit or remove it. That needs real video-editing software, and re-uploading someone else's watermarked content as your own is usually a rights issue regardless of the watermark.
Will the quality be worse than what's in the app?
No — you get the same file Instagram's own servers store, not a recompressed copy.
Does this work for private accounts?
